Graphics design

Graphics design is really fun, free hand illustration is definitely important. However, using Photoshop  is the main key.

Ceramics

I found ceramics tough, because the process was really long and complex. This exercise was focused on collecting found objects and make ceramic molds and jewelry out of it.

Product Design

This exercise was a challenge, students were not allowed to use any glue, stapler or any medium that could hold anything together. Students were given a challenge to make a lamp, with interlocks mechanism that can be packaged easily and have different forms. Students were to make their own lamp stand. This design represents my identity as a Samoan. Material Used: Polyester paper

Craft and Jewelry

Part of this exercise was to make Jewelry out of recycled materials. In Samoan tradition, Ula(Necklace) is a welcoming token for guests and important people. I used marbles and worned materials to create these. Other material used: metal rings, ribbons, laminated paper, threads and rocks. Models, Richard Westerlund and Elizabeth Westerlund

Accomplishments

Commissioned Works for the International Airport of Samoa 2013

This opportunity at the airport was an answered prayer. I got to paint near the duty free area and near the security section. This mural work is all about Jesus. Are you pursuing Jesus with your whole heart or are you walking away from Him?
